Geeta Ramanujam is an internationally acclaimed Master Storyteller, Master Trainer, Educator, Author, and Academician, widely recognized as a pioneer of the storytelling movement in India. With a distinguished career spanning over four decades, she has transformed storytelling into a powerful medium for education, communication, and social change.
She is the Founder and Executive Director of Kathalaya Trust – The House of Stories, established in 1998, an organization that has led impactful initiatives across schools, corporates, and non-governmental organizations. Through Kathalaya, she has championed storytelling as a tool to inspire learning, build connections, and foster holistic development.
Geeta is also the Founder of Kathalaya’s International Academy of Storytelling, the only globally recognized academy offering multi-level certified storytelling programs affiliated with institutions in the USA, UK, and Sweden. Under her visionary leadership, the academy has successfully trained and certified over 225 batches through the Accredited Certified courses at three levels. Geeta has empowered over 99,491 educators, professionals, and aspiring storytellers to adopt storytelling both as a profession and as a transformative life skill.
