Accept Disability with all your Ability

Beyond the words of thoughts, a silent whisper remains within one’s heart. A need for emotional outburst and a cave of emotions enriched upon a fascinated lifestyle of mankind.

Family, friends and emotions are the same across mankind, including the Neurodivergents. Many families fail to embrace such wonderful souls due to lack of acceptance, awareness and empathy.

My blog is on embracing the Neuro divergents with their meltdowns, their sensory issues and their emotional outbursts. My daughter Sahana is a 15 year old Non Speaking Autistic with Dysplasia. Yet she communicates through help by holding on to a wrist or by typing through Avaz App. Her journey in this world has been because of many wonderful souls who accepted her and taught her how to communicate despite her inability. She is a creative writer who writes quotes and short crisp write-ups..

All Neurodivergents are just like us with the same emotions, feelings, expectations, dreams and even more love and lots of positive outlook. Their World is filled with aspirations and hope to survive despite their difficulties. Their mode of communication might be different through their behaviours, emotional outburst and sensory meltdowns but they all go through the same roller coaster ride like us.

Today many neurodivergents are emerging and shining in their respective fields and their own style and rhythm. The  society has opened its doors to welcome these children and adults with open arms however, more education and awareness needs to be emphasized on the parents of the Neurotypicals.

Parents of Neurotypicals need to be educated on these children and also should encourage and grow a bonding between Neurodivergents and  Neurotypicals as most of the parents of the neurotypicals feel unsafe and insecure in creating a bond between these two as a latter feels influence of the ND’s on the Neurotypicals. This is just a myth and it needs to be broken and vanished… ND’s are the most trusted souls showering loads of love on their peers and to those who love them, they always bloom with a positive outlook and have a beautiful world in which they live and they cherish their world which is far away from our materialistic world..

In today’s scenario the need to grow one’s  knowledge and to be educated about the Neurodivergents is definitely the need of the society as the future generation needs to not only know their weaknesses but also their success stories despite their disabilities.

The current trending Genzy world needs to know the equal rights of ND’s in the society, their rights to participate, enjoy, inculcate and be included in every walk of life just like their fellow Neurotypical ..When such remarkable moments are achieved by all mankind, “One World and One Family”  will definitely be true to its meaning.

Accept, Encourage, Empathize and just allow them to be as they are as their World is more beautiful to survive then ours.

There are many ND’s who are Content creators, Creative writers, Bloggers, Swimmers, Chefs, Marathon Runners, Creative Designers, Graphic designers, Authors, Fashion Models and so on .

Their path to achieve all this might take time but their journey is a huge lesson for all of us to learn.

“They are different but no less”, is the most prominent statement but here I have something more to add on, “they are different but let us all accept them with their differences and not differentiate.”

With more power to the Neurodivergents and  and even more power to their parents and families.

  9. Nice write up Sridevi. As a mother of an autistic daughter, I am of the strong opinion that society instead of sympathising with such children and their parents, should strongly support and be more emphatic for the development of such children to the maximum extent possible ❤️
